Telecaster Build.

I have gone all in this time!

One for myself, probably the most I have ever spent on guitar parts for just one project.

A bound sunburst body with comfort cuts,

Warmoth licensed telecaster neck with 24.75" scale length,

Traditional tele bridge and tuners, nickel finish,

SD 5:2 Alnico pickup set.

I will post more pictures as the parts arrive.

Tele 50's wiring_edited.jpg

Just finished making up the control plate.

50's style wiring which makes the volume and tone pots slightly interactive and negates the need for a treble bleed.

3 position switch

Alpha brassed bushed 250k pots

0.033 paper in oil capacitor.

I am aiming at finding the tones of the early telecasters as I think most of the modern telecasters lack a bit of twang and clarity.

PRS Mod.jpg

PRS NF3 SE. Tinkler Custom Shop Modified.

Specs. Metallic Grey.

HSS configuration. Alnico 2 bridge, Pribora single coils.

PRS tremolo bridge.

Rosewood on maple neck with slightly rolled edges.

I'm really enjoying the playing experience given by the PRS NF3. So much so that I have purchased a second one and removed the pickguard, pickups and electronics and replaced them with a custom made pickguard supplied by Brian Pillans and a set of my favourite HSS pickups manufactured by Alexander Pribora. This is now a guitar that can do everything!

LATEST - January 2026.

A total refurbishment of an ancient PRS body and neck that I bought recently. I have done a light relic job on it and fitted all new electronics, tuners and bridge and then given it a good set-up.

The specs include:-

Lightly reliced gold top with a set neck,

Wrap-around 'Lightening bridge'

22 medium jumbo frets in excellent condition on an old school 6mm rosewood slab fingerboard,

Locking tuners,

Early Epiphone Burstbucker type humbuckers, coil split via mini toggle switch,

Alpha branded potentiometers,

Vintage Dimebag capacitor,

This is a real 'chummy' guitar weighing in at just 6.5lbs and sporting a 24.75" scale length making it very comfortable to play.

It is for sale priced at £200.00.

For Sale

LATEST - October 2025.

Not so many full guitar builds here these days. I have built just about everything that is buildable several times over so that itch has been very much scratched!

There are so many lovely guitars available these days at very keen prices so as long as you are open minded about the name on the headstock there should be one out there for you. Most of my workshop time is now spent setting-up and optimizing these types of guitars for my many customers.

However, if you do fancy a top-end telecaster or strat style guitar I am able to source all the parts required to build you something very special that will compare favourably to the 'F-Ultra Series' for around half of the High Street price, the Sherwood Green strat on This Page is an example of one I made earlier.
